In 2015, HalkidikiTravel organized a vote through which it called its guests to show off the best beaches in Halkidiki. According to the results, the five best beaches are Agios Ioannis, Vourvourou, Kavourotripes, Akti Elias and Sani on the particular sequence. The survey involved 482 people.
Agios Ioannis: Agios Ioannis is located in Sithonia, close to Nikiti, and it is one of the largest and best-known beaches. It has shallow turquoise waters and white sand which can impress even the most discerning guest. On the coast there are two beach bars with free umbrellas and sun beds for their customers, but you are not required to use them, the beach is free. The fact that Agios Ioannis has no waves and deep water makes it a very good choice for families. The beach access is easy.
Vourvourou - Karidi Beach: Vourvourou is one of the loveliest beaches in Halkidiki, with turquoise, crystal clear waters and fine sand. The water is quite shallow, it has no waves and the coast is easily accessible, so it is a good choice for children too. It has no beach bar, but there is one in a short distance as well as a restaurant. Moreover, in Vourvourou there are three small islands where you can swim.
Kavourotripes: Kavourotripes is located in Sithonia and it is surely one of the most exotic beaches in the area. Many people characterize it as the Hawaii of Halkidiki. It has turquoise waters and it is rocky. The access to this is quite difficult. In recent years it has become very well known, a visit will convince you that this reputation is right. On Kavourotripes you can camp and do naturism.
Elia Beach: This beach got its name from the olive groves that exist around and some of them reach the edge of the coast. Not surprisingly,this is situated at the second leg of Halkidiki. It is beautiful, quite large in length, with turquoise waters and sand. It has easy access and a beach bar where you can relax and enjoy swimming.
Sani: Sani makes the difference from the other five options of HalkidikiTravel visitors since it is located in Kassandra. Basically Sani is composed of small sandy beaches that are combined into one. There is a beach bar, the access is easy and the waters shallow and calm. For sure it is a beautiful beach and definitely worth visiting.
