Pefkochori has 1,600 inhabitants, but in summer attracts tens of thousands of tourists. It is the second most cosmopolitan place in Kassandra during the summer months after Kallithea. In Pefkochori you will find organized hotels, luxury villas, and rooms to rent. At the top part of the village, you will meet the luxury hotel Alia Palace Luxury Hotel and Villas which has a spectacular view of the whole town and Kassandra Bay. From there, you will be able to see Sithonia, the second peninsula of Halkidiki and in the background the peak of Aghion Oros, Mount Athos.
During the summer months, you can party until early morning in the rhythm of Greek and foreign-Serbian music in the clubs and bars of the area. You can also enjoy traditional Greek and Mediterranean food in luxurious restaurants and fish taverns. Furthermore, there are a lot of organized Beach Bars alongside the village coast.
During the summer the streets below the main road through the village and up to the each are pedestrian, allowing guest to enjoy a stroll on the coastal path and the small roads with the shops inside the town. However, pedestrians create slight congestion on the main road because of frequent transit tourist busses.
Also in the village of Pefkochori, you will find ATMs, post offices, Internet Cafés, Super Markets, private clinic, and dental clinics.
Pefkochori, apart from the beautiful sandy beach in the village, is located close to excellent beaches which attract many visitors of Halkidiki. Grarokavos is only 3 km away from the center of the village. Also, there are famous beaches inhabited by young people called Chrouso and Xenia in Paliouri, a distance of 7 km away from Pefkochori, where the famous beach bars Navagos and Koursaros are located.
